Swipe Sushi gives the familiar tile-merging formula a colorful culinary theme. Pixel-art dishes, soft colors, and Japanese-inspired decorations create a relaxing presentation, while the limited grid leaves little room for careless decisions.

Merge Your Way Through the Menu

The game takes place on a 4×4 grid. Pressing an arrow key slides every tile in the chosen direction. When two identical sushi dishes meet, they merge into the next design in the sequence and add points to your score.

A new tile appears after each valid move, gradually reducing the available space. Your goal is to create increasingly advanced dishes while preventing the board from becoming blocked.

Unlike numbered versions of 2048, Swipe Sushi requires you to recognize the progression through images. Remembering which dishes belong together makes it easier to arrange potential matches and avoid separating useful pairs.

The round ends when the grid is full and no identical tiles can be combined. You can then restart the game and try to improve your previous score.

Strategies for a Higher Score

• Preserve empty cells: Maintain open spaces so you have room to reposition tiles and prepare future matches.
• Plan several moves ahead: Consider where every tile will land instead of choosing a move only for an immediate merge.
• Learn the sushi order: Memorize the visual progression of dishes to recognize matching opportunities quickly.
• Avoid isolated tiles: Keep similar dishes close together so they can be combined before the board becomes crowded.
