Pixel Fruit 2048 is a sliding puzzle that replaces numbered tiles with colorful pixel-art fruit. Created by KYORMU, the game keeps the familiar 2048 structure while making each upgrade easy to recognize through a fruit evolution chain. It is a browser-based puzzle built with GameMaker.
The board contains 16 spaces arranged in a 4×4 grid. Your objective is to combine matching fruit, unlock higher stages, and collect as many points as possible before the box becomes too crowded.
Pixel Fruit 2048: Merge & Evolve
Every directional input moves all fruit across the board. When two identical pieces touch, they merge and evolve into the next fruit in the sequence. Cherries become strawberries, strawberries become dark berries, and later combinations produce oranges, apples, pineapples, kiwis, watermelons, and other advanced fruit.
After each valid move, either a cherry or strawberry appears in a random empty square. This means every action creates both an opportunity and a new space problem. Moving without a clear purpose can quickly scatter low-level fruit across the grid.
The score at the bottom of the box increases as you complete merges. A strong run depends on creating higher fruit efficiently while preserving enough open cells for future combinations.
Try to place your highest fruit near one corner instead of moving it repeatedly across the board. Building outward from that area makes the evolution chain easier to organize and reduces unwanted gaps.
An open cell gives you room to reposition fruit when the board becomes crowded. Avoid filling an entire row with unrelated pieces, as this can block movement and separate matching pairs.
Cherries and strawberries appear frequently, so merge them before they spread into several parts of the box. Clearing low-level pieces creates space and helps the board remain manageable.
